Salary: £38,080 to £41,145 per annum, pro rata (plus ILW, if residing & working in London)

Do you thrive on helping teams maximise their impact through flexible, collaborative ways of working, removing obstacles and working well with others to turn strategic ideas into impactful reality? As an experienced Delivery Manager, drawing on a range of approaches from waterfall through to agile/lean, you’ll bring first-rate communication, organisation, decision-making and facilitation skills. You’ll join an in-house, multifunctional team supporting our full-stack platform and architecture, as well as the wider digital estate as part of our Technology Directorate. You will be central to delivering and maintaining our digital estate and services.

What will a day in the life of a Digital Delivery Manager involve?

  • Supporting Platform managers to deliver digital products and services with impactful outcomes to budget and time.
  • Working with individuals and teams on agile ways of working whilst helping the wider business see the benefits of agile delivery.
  • Facilitating team planning sessions, daily stand-ups, sprint planning and retrospectives.
  • Encouraging a culture of continuous improvement focused on adding value.
  • Supporting openness and transparency in the team and directorate.
  • Prioritising workloads, estimating resources and capacity for successful delivery.
  • Providing teams with the right tools and resources to do their jobs effectively.
  • Tracking progress and managing challenging situations with confidence and clarity.
  • Giving enthusiastic feedback, maintaining positive morale and performance.
  • Collaborating with others to support teams in delivering outcomes on time and within budget.

To be a successful Digital Delivery Manager, what will you need?

  • Knowledge of product development life cycle.
  • Knowledge of innovation techniques and digital design principles.
  • Educated to degree-level or equivalent by experience.
  • Great organisational and communication skills.
  • Strong ability to estimate and manage team capacity.
  • Coaching skills and a collaborative approach to working with others.
  • Proficiency in managing risks and a focus on achieving results.
  • Experience working closely with product development, digital, or innovation teams.
