Service Coordinator

Location: Hove, with travel around the East Sussex area
Salary: £23,590 to £25,155 per annum, pro rata
Hours: 28 per week
Contract: Permanent
Additional Requirement: Applicants must have a full licence (2 years) and access to a vehicle.

Are you passionate about supporting people in crisis and making a real difference in your community? As a Service Coordinator, you’ll be the vital link between hospital referrals and care at home. You’ll manage a team of staff and volunteers, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently, and with heart. This role is central to our mission of connecting human kindness with human crisis.

What will a day in the life of a Service Coordinator involve?

  • Acting as the main point of contact for hospital and community referrals.
  • Coordinating and supporting a team of staff and volunteers to deliver services.
  • Monitoring service delivery, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Attending hospital meetings, managing the service budget, and stepping in to support frontline delivery when needed.

To be a successful Service Coordinator, you will need

  • Experience managing or supervising people and working in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with health and social care professionals.
  • Confidence using IT systems and managing service records.
  • A flexible approach, with a willingness to work evenings, be on-call, and respond to emergencies.
