Job summary

Are you an experienced procurement professional looking for an opportunity to lead procurement and contract management within a purpose-driven organisation? BPAS is looking for a Procurement and Contract Compliance Manager to lead our procurement function, ensuring purchasing and contract management activities are compliant, transparent, ethical and deliver best value. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you will provide expert procurement and contract advice, develop effective processes and policies, and ensure robust governance throughout the contract lifecycle. You will play an important role in ensuring charitable funds are used responsibly while securing high-quality goods, services and works that support the delivery of our services.

About you

You will have significant procurement experience, ideally within the charity, public or healthcare sector, with strong experience of contract and supplier relationship management. You will have experience leading competitive tender exercises, developing procurement policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with governance and regulatory requirements. A degree or equivalent professional experience is required. A CIPS Level 5 or above qualification, or working towards one, would be desirable.

Main duties of the job

  • You will develop and continuously improve BPAS's procurement strategy, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, financial regulations and NHS requirements.
  • You will maintain the central contract register and oversee contract performance, renewals, supplier obligations and governance requirements.
  • You will conduct procurement and contract compliance audits, monitor procurement risks, support internal and external audits, and provide advice to budget holders and project managers.
  • You will also build positive supplier relationships, monitor performance against agreed service levels, support negotiations and resolve contractual issues where required. You will promote ethical, sustainable and diverse procurement practices across BPAS.

Salary

Β£48,366 - Β£62,867 per annum - depending on skills/experience.

Hours

36 hours per week

Shift Pattern

  • Monday to Thursday 09:00 to 17:00
  • Friday 09:00 to 15:30
