This is a 12-month fixed-term contract to provide maternity leave cover. We are ideally looking for someone who can start as soon as possible. Are you an organised, customer-focused HR Administrator with experience working in a busy HR environment? Join the People Team at BPAS as an HR Administrator and play a key role in delivering a responsive, professional and confidential HR service.

Supporting employees and managers across the employee lifecycle, you'll help ensure HR processes are delivered efficiently, accurately and in line with organisational policies and employment legislation. This role is ideal for someone with previous HR administration experience who enjoys managing a varied workload, responding to high-volume queries and providing excellent customer service.

You'll maintain accurate employee records, prepare HR documentation, coordinate compliance activities and support key HR processes including onboarding, contractual changes, absence administration and leaver processes. We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and confidentiality. Experience working within a shared HR service or managing a busy shared inbox is highly desirable. This is a hybrid working role, with attendance at our Head Office in Leamington Spa once a week. You will also be expected to travel to other BPAS locations when required.

Main duties of the job:

  • Provide first-line HR advice and administrative support, escalating queries where appropriate.
  • Manage the People Team shared inbox, ensuring timely responses within agreed service levels.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring data quality, confidentiality and GDPR compliance.
  • Support the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, pre-employment checks, contractual changes, absence and family leave, pay and benefits, and leavers.
  • Prepare HR documentation including contracts, offer letters, references and other correspondence.
  • Coordinate compliance checks including Right to Work, DBS, professional registration and Occupational Health requirements.
  • Produce routine HR reports and support audits, inspections and workforce compliance activity.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes and employee experience.

You will also have:

  • Previous HR administration experience in a busy environment.
  • Experience managing high-volume queries or shared inboxes.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using HR systems and Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Understanding of HR processes across the employee lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of confidentiality, GDPR and record keeping requirements.
  • CIPD Level 3 or equivalent HR experience.

Contract: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Hours Per Week: 36 hours

Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday – 9am to 5pm and Friday 9am to 3.30pm

Salary: £26,444 – £29,853 depending on skills and experience
