Are you a part-qualified or qualified accountant with a flair for finance business partnering and a passion for making a difference in the not-for-profit sector? BPAS are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team. This is a permanent, hybrid role working 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You'll work primarily from home, with travel to our Head Office in Leamington Spa once a week.
About the role
As a FBP, you will work across the organisation supporting operational and senior leaders with insightful analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial advice. You'll build trusted relationships, provide challenge where needed, and help shape decisions through a strong understanding of financial performance. Your work will include project monitoring, contract profitability reviews, KPI reporting, and long-term planning. You'll also contribute to the implementation of Power BI reporting, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with internal policies.
Main duties of the job
- Provide business partner support to other non-finance teams to understand and control their budgets and achieve their financial KPIs.
- Analyse variances each month and investigate with accounts team as necessary, challenging and escalating where issues are uncovered.
- Analyse monthly activity and income activity by contract, service, and location to understand price and volume variances.
- Manage the tracking of business cases from authorisation to implementation of projects.
- Liaise with business case managers so they are able to maintain good financial control of project budgets, in particular for new premises and for major IT projects.
