BPAS is looking for an experienced Admin Assistant to join our Bournemouth unit on a part‑time basis (15 hours per week, Monday, Thursday, Friday). The role is a 6‑month fixed‑term contract.

Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct telephone queries, liaising with internal and external colleagues.
  • Accurately check or complete BPAS and legal paperwork, ensuring all relevant documentation is available for the client's episode of care.
  • Monitor, edit and amend appointment list using the BPAS booking system and inform clients of any changes.
  • Assist in monitoring, controlling and ordering stock; sort and distribute incoming mail; prepare and dispatch statistical information and reports.

Experience & Skills

  • Experience of dealing face‑to‑face with clients who may be angry or upset in a care environment.
  • Knowledge of clerical procedures, including checking documentation, telephone and reception duties.
  • Good attention to detail, supportive towards colleagues and clients, and an effective team player.

Salary and Contract

£24,484 – £27,583 per annum pro‑rate (£13.08 – £14.73 per hour), depending on skills and experience. Contract: 6‑month fixed term.

Shift Pattern

Monday 10:00 – 15:30 | Thursday 10:00 – 15:00 | Friday 09:30 – 14:00.

Eligibility

All applicants must be pro‑choice and support a woman's right to choose, in line with BPAS values and mission. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK at the time of application. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

English and Maths qualification: GCSE A‑C or Functional Skills Level 2, or equivalent (GCSE 4* or NVQ level 2). Competent in Microsoft Office programmes (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
