Overview
Casual Admin Assistant covering periods of annual leave and sickness only.
The role requires working across our Solent Cluster across Portsmouth, Southampton and Basingstoke.
The position is full of varied administrative and client support tasks within each unit.
Responsibilities
- Answer and direct telephone queries, liaising with internal and external colleagues.
- Accurately check or complete BPAS and legal paperwork, ensuring all relevant documentation is available for each client’s episode of care.
- Monitor, edit and amend appointment list using BPAS booking system, informing clients if changes to their appointment become necessary.
- Assist in the monitoring, control and ordering of stock, sort and distribute incoming mail.
- Prepare and dispatch statistical information and reports.
- Support general administrative duties within a busy office or reception environment.
Qualifications
- Strong experience of working within an office environment and performing administration duties.
- Excellent communicator, both internally and externally, with a friendly, positive attitude when interacting with clients, colleagues and external parties.
- Experience dealing face‑to‑face with clients who may be angry or upset within a care environment.
- Knowledge of clerical procedures including checking documentation, telephone and reception duties.
- Good attention to detail, supportive towards colleagues and clients, and an effective team player.
