- Keep department records, databases, and filing systems up to date so all information is accurate and easy to find.
- Review information from external parties to understand any potential issues and pass on clear instructions to colleagues or other stakeholders.
- Organise and track work carried out by field staff, making sure tasks are completed and any related costs are recorded properly.
- Prepare and send letters and information packs to landowners and other contacts when needed.
- Handle basic purchasing tasks such as raising orders and arranging equipment checks for team members.
- Answer incoming calls to the department and help process updates received from regular monitoring activities.

- Confident, calm, and clear communication skills when dealing with internal teams, landowners, contractors, solicitors, suppliers, and other external bodies.
- Experience using GIS systems and strong general IT literacy, including Microsoft Office; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics is an advantage.
- A proactive and self‑motivated approach, capable of working independently while contributing positively to a small, busy team.
- Good problem‑solving ability, sound judgement when assessing third‑party information, and readiness to provide clear, actionable instructions.
