Business Development Manager – British Motor Museum
Contract Type: Permanent, full-time. 37 hours per week.
Reports to: Head of Commerce.
Are you an experienced, proactive and dynamic conference and events sales specialist with strong presentation and relationship‑building skills, looking for a new and exciting opportunity in a truly unique award‑winning venue with modern facilities and a charitable purpose? If so, then joining us as our new Business Development Manager could be the ideal next step for you.
Responsibilities
- Identify new business opportunities and build and nurture relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and agencies.
- Collaborate with marketing, operations, and commercial teams to elevate the venue’s profile and drive sustainable growth across corporate conferences, exhibitions, meetings, and events.
- Attend client meetings, exhibitions, trade shows, and key industry events, serving as a brand ambassador for the museum.
Qualifications
- Experience in business development within the conference and events industry.
- Strategic ability to generate new business opportunities and hit the ground running.
- Excellent presentation and relationship‑building skills.
- Comfortable in a crowded room, exemplifying the Museum’s image and values.
