King’s College London is offering scholarships for Internationally Qualified Sonographers. The scholarships are funded by NHSE and successful applicants are expected to undertake the academic and clinical requirements towards gaining a CASE accredited Pg Cert in Clinical ultrasound. Graduates will also be able to register with the RCT alongside any current international registration body and/or HCPC registration. This scholarship is for course entry in 2026-27.

Eligibility:

  • Internationally Qualified Sonographers recruited by NHS trusts via the Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) International Recruitment programme
  • Internationally Qualified Sonographers (any country) who are already working in the UK National Health Service (NHS) as non‑obstetrics Sonographers, in a full‑time substantive post, having been in post for a minimum of 18 months to two years
  • King’s standard eligibility criteria also apply (see Clinical Ultrasound page on King’s College London website)

Applications are on a rolling basis with a final deadline of the 25th of July 2026 (23:59 UK time). Early application is strongly encouraged as we have a limited number of places. Short‑listed applicants will be invited to attend a pre‑arranged interview, attend a workshop held on King’s Guys campus on July 15th 2026, followed by in‑person entrance exams in August 2026. The Clinical ultrasound course will formally commence in September 2026.
