British Medical Experts (BME) is expanding its panel of trusted experts to meet growing demand from law firms and insurers across the UK. We are inviting Consultant Paediatric Radiologists to join our expert witness community. This is a flexible, remote opportunity to supplement your income, develop your medico-legal expertise, and contribute to the justice system using your clinical skills. With regular casework and sufficient availability, experts can earn up to £100,000 per year.
We offer structured training and certification, in partnership with Bond Solon and the Expert Witness Institute, helping you build or expand your portfolio with confidence.
Responsibilities- Provide independent expert opinion on clinical matters for legal proceedings as a panel member
- Review imaging, medical records, and clinical data
- Write clear, impartial medico-legal reports
- Advise on condition, causation, prognosis, and imaging standards of care
- Comply with Civil Procedure Rules (CPR)
- Attend case conferences or court hearings (when required)
- GMC-registered Consultant Paediatric Radiologists
- Interest in medico-legal work
- 0–10 reports of prior experience (for guidance and growth)
- Availability of 3–5 hours per month to spare and capacity to begin within 3 months
- Desire to diversify career or reduce reliance on NHS income
- Flexible, ad hoc casework based on your availability
- Earnings potential up to £100,000/year (depending on capacity and case volume)
- Training and certification from Bond Solon and the Expert Witness Institute
- Full admin support—no chasing documents or logistics
