About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Service and Infrastructure to join our Technology Services directorate. This is a leadership role, reporting to the Chief Technology Operations Officer.
You will lead and oversee the strategic planning, development and management of IT services and infrastructure. You will lead a team (c. 20) to ensure that the technology services and infrastructure meets the needs of the BMA in all aspects of resource planning and delivery. You will also collaborate with senior colleagues across Technology services to define and deliver against the technology strategy.
To ensure your success as the BMAs Head of Service and Infrastructure you will ideally have:
· Proven senior management level experience in technology
· Experience of defining and driving delivery of service and infrastructure strategies
· Proven background in IT service delivery, incident management and the implementation of ITSM tools and processes
· Experience of delivering successful projects and within both Agile and Plan methodologies
· Experience of managing, motivating and developing high performing teams
· Practical knowledge of IT infrastructure components, including network servers, storage, databases, cloud computing and virtualisation technologies
· Knowledge of emerging technology trends
· Solid experience of ITIL frameworks and best practises
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Proven problem-solving skills
