Who We Are Seeking
Sunseeker International is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented SAP Support Analyst to join our dynamic IT team based in Poole, Dorset. This is a pivotal role supporting our core SAP landscape, ensuring stability, performance and continual improvement across key business processes. You will act as a trusted liaison between business users, internal technical teams and third-party vendors, taking ownership of SAP support issues end to end. This role is ideal for an experienced SAP support professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative manufacturing environment and enjoys blending technical expertise with excellent customer service.
A Day in the Life
In this role, no two days are the same. You’ll start the day reviewing SAP support tickets, prioritising and triaging incidents and service requests via the service desk. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Production to diagnose issues, clarify requirements and deliver effective solutions. You’ll work hands‑on with user access and role configuration, liaise with third‑party support partners to resolve more complex issues, and contribute to testing and quality assurance for system enhancements and upgrades. Throughout the day, you’ll also analyse trends in support calls, looking for opportunities to improve processes, reduce recurring issues and enhance the overall user experience.
Example Responsibilities Include
- Acting as first and second line support for SAP incidents and service requests, ensuring issues are logged, prioritised, triaged and resolved in line with SLAs
- Gathering detailed user requirements, assessing feasibility, ROI and recommending next steps through internal change processes
- Managing SAP user accounts, roles and transaction code allocations
- Investigating root causes of recurring issues using Solution Manager and working with partners to implement permanent fixes
- Participating in unit, integration and user acceptance testing (UAT) for system changes and upgrades
- Creating and maintaining high-quality system and support documentation
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver effective support outcomes
- Identifying opportunities for training and process optimisation to reduce future support demand
- Supporting the management of third‑party vendor performance and associated costs
To Be Considered for This Role You Should Have
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline (desirable)
- Experience in 1st and 2nd line SAP support or a similar ERP analyst role
- Strong functional SAP knowledge with hands‑on experience in user and role management
- Understanding of SAP architecture, integration points and data migration techniques
- Knowledge of SAP security patching requirements and approaches
- Familiarity with IT service management principles; ITIL Foundation certification is advantageous
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Confident communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non‑technical users
- A customer‑focused mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team
Please note that this position is required to be on‑site 5 days per week - unfortunately, there is no hybrid or remote working option available for this role, as the successful candidate will need to work closely with the wider team and support day‑to‑day operations on site.
Desirable experience: use of service desk tools such as Jira or ServiceNow, experience with SAP Solution Manager and SAP ECC6, previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
Sunseeker employees benefit from a generous company pension scheme - 6% employer contribution, private medical insurance, including baby bonus and Digital GP (after 2 years), dental insurance (after 2 years), annual leave increases with continued service, Health Assured EAP, trained Mental Health First Aiders, employee discounts with a wide range of third party businesses (up to 30% off) including Perkbox.
