We are looking for a highly organized and detail-driven Material Controller to join our dynamic Supply Chain team at Sunseeker International. As a world-renowned manufacturer of luxury yachts, we invest over £100M annually with external suppliers. From our headquarters in Poole, Dorset, our Supply Chain function plays a critical role in ensuring seamless material flow and strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and suppliers. In this role, you will help us understand business needs, maintain accurate material control and contribute to developing effective sourcing strategies that deliver value. Your expertise will support Sunseeker’s commitment to innovation, enabling us to continue creating exceptional products and building lasting customer relationships.
A Day in Life
Reporting to Lineside Operations Manager, as a Sunseeker Material Controller, you’ll ensure accurate material flow to support the company’s luxury yacht production. Your role includes maintaining full traceability, processing delivery notes, picking and transacting parts in SAP and storing components safely. You’ll keep operational areas organized, work across multiple sites when needed, and progress toward forklift truck certification. Every task helps deliver the precision and quality Sunseeker is known for.
- Maintaining full traceability and transactional accuracy for all materials
- Processing delivery notes and escalating issues promptly to management
- Adhering to Sunseeker processes and procedures at all times
- Collaborating with multiple departments to deliver a first-class logistics service
- Picking and transacting parts in SAP to meet production demand
- Storing components safely and keeping operational areas organized
- Working flexibly across multiple sites when required
- Progressing toward forklift truck certification to support operations across all locations
To be considered for this role you should have:
- ERP system knowledge and proficiency in SAP
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Excellent time management and prioritisation abilities
- Effective communication and influencing skills
- A proactive approach with tenacity to achieve results
- Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally with suppliers
- Confidence to work on your own initiative while maintaining Sunseeker’s high standards of integrity and professionalism
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience is desirable but not essential
