Who We Are Seeking

We are looking for an Interior Design and Development Project Engineer who is passionate about design, engineering, and product development.

You will be a proactive problem solver with strong project delivery experience, capable of working collaboratively across multiple departments while maintaining a keen eye for detail.

A Day in the Life

As an Interior Design and Development Project Engineer, you'll work closely with designers, planners, procurement teams, and production colleagues to support the successful delivery of both new and bespoke interior projects.

You'll play a key role in ensuring designs are translated into manufacturable solutions while maintaining quality, efficiency, and commercial viability.

Your day could involve reviewing Bills of Materials, supporting customer special installations, resolving technical queries from production teams, collaborating with suppliers, and assisting with new model introductions.

You'll also support continuous improvement initiatives, helping to standardise components and processes across product ranges while ensuring design intent is maintained throughout the build process.

Working at the centre of the design and manufacturing process, you'll have the opportunity to influence product development and help deliver exceptional customer experiences through innovative interior solutions.

  • Supporting the design, development, and implementation of new and bespoke interior projects.
  • Creating and maintaining accurate Bills of Materials (Bo Ms) to support planning and manufacturing activities.
  • Providing technical support to Planning, Procurement, Production, and Quality teams.
  • Assisting with customer‑specific design modifications and special installations.
  • Ensuring drawings and build specifications are correctly interpreted and adhered to throughout production.
  • Supporting new model introduction activities and engineering change implementation.
  • Maintaining departmental documentation, including technical specifications and master drawing lists.
  • Identifying opportunities to standardise components and improve manufacturing processes across yacht ranges.
  • Resolving design and production issues by working closely with stakeholders across the business.
  • Supporting cost reduction and efficiency improvement initiatives with production teams, suppliers, and contractors.
  • To Be Considered for this Role You Should Have
  • A degree, equivalent qualification, or significant practical experience in Design, Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience managing the delivery, design, and implementation of engineering or design projects.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and experience working with ERP systems.
  • Experience using design software, ideally Siemens NX or other 3D CAD packages.
  • A good understanding of CAD processes, drawing control, and product lifecycles.
  • Previous experience of interior design and build processes within the marine industry.
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
  • The ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Experience in cabinetry, furniture design, powered craft, project planning, or supply chain processes would be advantageous.
