Overview

The Visitor Experience Team is responsible for delivering the highest standard of service at a variety of different reception points throughout the visitor journey, including the information desk, exhibition galleries and reader registration. The team are responsible for all sales KPIs around tickets and memberships, and the delivery of the public and commercial tours programme.

Working in the Department

We work within the Commercial Services Department alongside Membership, Retail, Publishing, Commercial Brand Development, Catering and Events.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have significant and demonstrable experience of working in a customer-facing role, with excellent communication skills, as well as experience of selling tickets, cash handling and delivering tours or public speaking.

Contract and Hours

This is a fixed-term contract for 6 months. Hours will be worked on a rota basis and will include Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday working. The post holder will work 36 hours, over 5 shifts per week between the hours of 9.00 am and 8.00 pm. Alternative working pattern applies for weekend working, approximately 2 weekend days every 4 weeks.
