As a Senior Integration Developer, you will be responsible for the ongoing design, development and maintenance of iPaaS solutions and the integration API layer that allows our systems to communicate with each other.
What You’ll Do:
- Responsible for all aspects of our Boomi integration layer.
- Review and recommend improvements both functionally and non-functionally to our existing Boomi integration layer.
- Design and create technical specifications for API development.
- Ensure implementation as per integration best practices and standards, for example error handling and security.
- Participate in Technical Design meetings to assess and quantify the risks associated with technical decisions and communicate these to relevant parties.
- Troubleshoot integration errors and resolve integration support tickets.
- Document integration designs and contribute to BAU handover documentation.
- Work with business analysts and business users to understand requirements and deliver impactful integration solutions.
- Collaborate closely with Head of Software Development and Head of Business Transformation to ensure that our integration layer meets our Business Transformation Strategy requirements.
About You:
- Hands-on experience of implementing integration with tools such as (preferably) Boomi, Mulesoft or Informatica.
- Security first mindset.
- Some familiarity with Oracle and/or SQL Server (preferably both).
- Preferable experience of integrations with Microsoft technologies (e.g. Power Platform).
- Preferable experience of integrations with ERP/EPM applications.
- Experience in REST and XML technologies.
- Good understanding of Integration Patterns and (preferably) Boomi best practices and standards.
- Proactive learning of Integration Cloud technologies and products.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with strong documentation skills.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Highly self-motivated and directed with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to absorb and retain information quickly with a willingness to learn about new integration technologies.
- Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Basic understanding of connectivity and networking concepts – IP addresses, network ports, connection strings, encryption etc.
- Practical understanding and ability to undertake simple connectivity troubleshooting using basic tools such as ping, telnet, netstat, traceroute etc.
