Overview
In this role you will support British Land’s social sustainability strategy through data-driven monitoring, reporting and stakeholder engagement. You’ll coordinate social impact data collection, maintain reporting systems and help deliver governance and reporting across a portfolio of campuses, retail and development projects. You will work with internal teams, charity partners and external stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely social value reporting and programme delivery. This is a hands-on, impact-focused role in a collaborative, values-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate social impact data collection and first-line validation across portfolios
- Support reporting against social sustainability targets and external benchmarks
- Maintain reporting systems, records, process documentation and audit evidence
- Coordinate Social Impact Committee governance processes (agendas, papers, action tracking, meeting records)
- Track programme expenditure and budgets, escalating discrepancies
- Act as operational point of contact for charity partners and community organisations
- Support management of employee matched funding and payment processes
- Support delivery of social impact programmes across education, employment, volunteering and community investment
- Act as a key user for Thrive, Optimy and other social impact systems, supporting access and reporting
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting quality and operational efficiency
Key requirements
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel and Data Management Systems
- Experience collecting, validating and managing information from multiple sources
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build effective relationships across teams and with external stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams simultaneously
- Organised, proactive and self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset
- Passion for social impact, sustainability and community investment
- Experience administering grant-making or social impact programmes (described as desired knowledge)
- Experience working with reporting systems, databases or CRM platforms
- Experience supporting reporting, assurance or audit processes
- Experience using Dashboards, Power BI or similar tools
- Understanding of social value measurement, community investment or sustainability reporting frameworks
