Overview
In this role you will manage the operational performance and safety of occupied buildings within British Land’s portfolio, enhancing asset value through efficient service delivery and strong stakeholder relations. You will work closely with occupier representatives and internal teams to ensure compliance, budgeting, and safe, well-run environments. This position offers visibility across high-profile London schemes and a chance to influence long-term cost and fabric management. You will contribute to a collaborative culture that values clear communication and proactive problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with occupier representatives and promote open communication on building issues
- Coordinate interfaces with adjoining blocks and liaise with Residential Manager and managing agents to align access and stakeholders
- Produce and manage the annual service charge budget and management accounts, coordinating internal resources
- Ensure Health & Safety, emergency procedures, and safe working practices comply with legislation and protect occupiers and staff
- Act as Responsible Person in emergencies and ensure occupiers understand building incident procedures and risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with Operations Manual, Health & Safety and Accounts Manuals and reflect amendments
- Identify and review staff training and welfare requirements under the company policy and appraisal process
- Procure building and contracted services per tender guidelines and monitor service delivery with providers
- On-board occupiers/workers (Work Ready/Storey formats) and manage service provision to meet customer expectations
- Apply Fabric Management and Long-Term Costing principles and embed British Land values across building services
