  • What You’ll Do
  • Implementing and creating asset level Business Plans;
  • Managing internal and external teams to achieve asset level objectives;
  • Liaising with development, leasing, operations team, acquisition, finance, legal and compliance teams in delivery of initiatives;
  • Regular reporting on asset performance;
  • Develop and deliver the asset leasing strategy either by working closely with Leasing Team or delivering it directly with our leasing agents, on assets that don't have a BL Leasing Manager;
  • Negotiate legal contracts / leases;
  • Use customer insight and research to inform leasing strategy, working closely with British Land's customer insight team, analysing performance and affordability;
  • Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships including Joint-Venture partners, retail customers and the Local Authority;
  • Communicate and collaborate with the asset management and leasing teams on business wide initiatives;
  • Support the development of less experienced members of the asset team;
  • Participate in the business' key customer account programme, which covers our top retailer occupiers;
  • Liaise with analyst team on appraisal and valuation process;
  • Ensure B2B marketing strategy aligns with leasing aspirations and remains on brand;
  • Adhere to British Land asset management processes and procedures;

Qualifications

  • Real Estate background with a strong understanding of the retail park and wider retail industry;
  • Significant experience in Retail Park Asset Management;
  • A leader with strong influencing skills that demonstrably gain results;
  • Excellent numeracy and analytical skills;
  • Confident, pro-active, hardworking and highly professional individual;
  • Good team player, with positive attitude and eagerness to get involved;
  • Works to a high standard and always strives to improve;
  • Ability to create a vision and set ambitious growth strategies, coupled with demonstrable experience of delivering against set vision/strategies;
  • A proven track record of identifying opportunities to add value and delivering against targets of financial outperformance;
  • Demonstrable experience of leading projects/tasks;
  • Ability to develop and grow relationships with a range of stakeholders;
  • Embraces and encourages collaboration with strong negotiation and influencing skills;
  • RICS qualified with a track record operating at a senior PQE level.
