As a Technology Business Partner, you will act as a vital bridge between the technology function and the wider business, ensuring that technology solutions are aligned with organisational objectives and stakeholder needs. You will build strong relationships across teams, translating business requirements into actionable technology deliverables, and championing process improvements that drive efficiency and innovation. Your role will involve collaborating with software development and service teams, facilitating user acceptance testing, and supporting the delivery of training and documentation for end users. By maintaining a deep understanding of business applications and system capabilities, you will help shape solutions that not only meet user needs but also advance the strategic goals of the organisation. Your proactive approach and commitment to shared success will contribute to a culture where bright ideas are encouraged and everyone feels listened to and understood.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Build relationships with the wider business to bridge the gap with Technology
  • Develop requirement documentation that will translate business needs into requirements that can be understood by the solution development team
  • Deliver training and construct training documentation for end users of systems
  • Work with the business to identify process improvements and facilitate introducing technology to enhance efficiencies
  • Participate as needed in IT design reviews to ensure compatibility and interoperability of computing systems
  • Develop a knowledge of system capabilities and functions of business applications
  • Work with software development teams to design optimal solutions to business requirements that best leverages the product
  • Ensure that proposed system features and requirements meet user needs and satisfy business objectives and initiatives
  • Assist with the coordination of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and/or demonstrations as required for developed solutions
  • Work with Service Desk and software development teams to ensure support tickets related to business applications are resolved within SLAs
  • Assist with prioritisation sessions with business stakeholders to agree the order of backlog items
  • Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as meeting deadlines, honouring schedules, coordinating resources and meetings in an effective and timely manner, and demonstrate respect for others

ABOUT YOU

We are seeking somebody who is highly motivated, thinks strategically and pragmatically, works to the highest standards and who can work independently as well as part of the wider team. In addition, you should possess the following skills and experience:

  • Knowledge and understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies and principles
  • Knowledge of system testing and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies
  • Proficient with core software applications, including Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Jira (nice to have)
  • Proven analytical, mathematical, communication, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail
  • Highly self-motivated and directed
  • Strong customer service orientation; approachable, patient, collaborative
  • Ability to evaluate information from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details and abstract low-level information to a more general understanding
  • Ability to communicate clearly with end-users and peers
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks while under pressure
  • Analyse plans, status, and develop and deliver presentations
  • Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality
