As a Technical Services Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient and sustainable operation of a prestigious mixed‑use estate. You will lead the delivery and continuity of critical building services, working closely with occupiers, service partners and internal stakeholders to drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for delivering technical solutions that support the long‑term performance of the asset.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Contract Management: Organise and attend monthly meetings with associated contractors.
- Monitor, analyse and interpret the correct functioning of plant and systems via the Building Management System or other means.
- Carry out random checks of critical plant operation.
- Review contractor reports and any proposals.
- Carry out regular audits and inspections of all plant, related areas and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all current legislation and recommended standards.
- Provide day-to-day technical and operational support to Building Management and occupiers.
- Support to Building Management with Permit to Work System and check method statements where appropriate.
- Liaise with Building Management and occupiers regarding operational and technical matters.
- Preparation and Management of engineering service charge budgets, to include procurement as per British Land’s policies.
- Develop, implement and manage environmental and energy conservation programmes.
- Manage the planned maintenance system, ensuring information, plant history, drawings and technical information is accurate and up to date.

Essential Experience & Skills:
- Experience with delivering technical building services within a commercial, mixed‑use or multi‑occupancy environment.
- Experience leading engineering operations, maintenance programmes and critical building systems.
- Financial awareness, including budget management.
- Excellent communication with the ability to build strong relationships across occupiers, suppliers and internal teams.
- Customer focused, with a genuine commitment to delivering exceptional occupier experiences.
- Drives continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance performance, efficiency and sustainability.
