Machynys Peninsula Golf & Country Club is a 7,121 yard Nicklaus designed Championship golf course located in picturesque Carmarthenshire. It is a hybrid links style golf course with USGA spec greens and has recently achieved the status of a GEO Certified venue, demonstrating our commitment to sustainability.

We are looking for a talented and committed Greenkeeper to join our team. The greenkeeping team is responsible for maintaining a highly conditioned quality course using the most up-to-date machinery.

Requirements:

  • Display passion, dedication and efficiency within the delivery of golf course and resort maintenance.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience to help lead by example.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce a high standard of work.
  • Good time management and communication skills.
  • An enthusiastic, motivated individual with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Team player who is also able to use own initiative with a good understanding of operating machinery.
  • A flexible approach to work, work hours and weekend duties.
  • To carry out routine maintenance tasks on the golf course/Resort to the highest standard and in alignment with our focus on golf course excellence.
  • Must be self-motivated and professional in appearance and actions.

Qualifications:

  • NVQ level 2 Sports Turf Management or above.
  • PA1 and PA6 spraying certifications are desirable, however not essential.
  • Strong communication skills and experience within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
