Howley Hall Golf Club is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Greenkeeper to join our dedicated course management team. As a proud and progressive members’ club, we are investing significantly in the continued development of our golf course to provide members and guests with outstanding playing conditions all year round. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking club that values both its heritage and its ambition for excellence.
The Role
Duties
- Working under the guidance of the Head Greenkeeper and wider team, you will assist in the maintenance and presentation of the golf course to the highest standards.
- Daily course preparation
- Mowing of greens, tees, fairways and rough
- Bunker maintenance
- Course set-up and presentation
- Operation and care of machinery
- Supporting ongoing improvement projects
- Weekend work will be required on a rota basis.
The Ideal Candidate
- Has a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Is reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work
- Works well within a team environment
- Has previous greenkeeping experience (desirable but not essential)
- Holds, or is willing to work towards, relevant qualifications
- A genuine passion for golf course maintenance and a desire to develop within the industry is key.
