Lee on the Solent Golf Club is seeking enthusiastic and motivated Greenkeepers to join our highly regarded team. The club has undergone significant investment in recent years and has exciting projects ahead. We are committed to maintaining the highest possible standards while hosting prestigious county championships.
The Role
As a Greenkeeper at Lee on the Solent Golf Club, you will play a key role in the daily maintenance, presentation, and ongoing development of the golf course. You will work within a skilled and supportive team, contributing to all aspects of course setup and maintenance while continuing to develop your own skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and daily presentation of the golf course
- Carry out a wide range of greenkeeping duties including mowing, course setup, and general maintenance
- Support ongoing improvement projects across the course
- Maintain machinery and equipment, including basic servicing and care
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Uphold high standards of health & safety and course presentation
What We’re Looking For
- A strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- Good communication skills with colleagues, members, and visitors
- A genuine interest in turf management and career development
- Previous experience in greenkeeping or sports turf (preferred but not essential)
- Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 2 or working towards) are desirable
