Tehidy Park Golf Club is a private members’ golf club seeking an experienced and motivated Head Greenkeeper to lead the maintenance and development of our course. This is a hands‑on role, ideal for a practical leader who enjoys working as part of a small, close-knit team.
The Role
Reporting to the General Manager, the Head Greenkeeper will be responsible for the day‑to‑day presentation, maintenance and improvement of the golf course and associated facilities. Lead by example and remain actively involved in all aspects of course maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the golf course to a high standard year‑round
- Plan and carry out daily, weekly, and seasonal maintenance programmes
- Lead, motivate and work hands‑on with a small greenkeeping team
- Operate and maintain machinery and equipment
- Manage fertiliser, chemical and water applications in line with best practice and regulations
- Monitor course conditions and respond to weather and play demands
- Assist with budget control and resource planning
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience in a management greenkeeping role, ideally as a Head Greenkeeper
- Relevant greenkeeping qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- PA1, PA2 and PA6 certifications
- Strong practical skills with a hands‑on approach
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to delivering high standards for members
