We are seeking to appoint a Consultant Radiologist with a specialist interest in Musculoskeletal (MSK) Radiology to join and strengthen our established and highly regarded Radiology team. This permanent post will expand the Consultant Radiologist establishment to 13 substantive Consultants, enhancing the resilience and expertise of the service. Our Radiology team currently includes 3 MSK specialised radiologists.

Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate high-level expertise in diagnostic and interventional MSK radiology, including reporting across plain film, ultrasound, CT and MRI.
- Perform ultrasound-guided, CT-guided and fluoroscopic MSK interventions.
- Support general radiology services, participate in on-call and acute imaging work, and ensure safe patient care.
- Contribute to the tele-radiology on-call service operating Monday to Friday 19:00–08:00 and weekends/bank holidays 17:30–08:00.
Qualifications:
- On the GMC’s Specialist Register or within six months of receiving CCT at interview date.
- FRCR or equivalent higher qualification from a different College or overseas.
- Fellowship in MSK Radiology (desirable).
- Advanced or further degrees (desirable).
- Experience in general radiology and subspecialty training in MSK radiology.
- Knowledge of a wide range of educational methods (desirable).
- Managerial skills (desirable).
- Experience in MSK intervention, including CT-guided nerve root blocks, bone biopsies, and general interventions such as drainages and biopsies.

- Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate leadership.
- Flexibility in working practice to support staff and patients.

Academic and Research:
- Survey and perform critical literature appraisal.
- Basic knowledge of research methods including study design, data evaluation, statistics, and publication preparation (desirable).
- Publications in peer‑reviewed journals (desirable).
Eligibility:
- Reside within 20 miles or 60 minutes of Airedale General Hospital.
- Ability to provide on‑call service.
- Understanding and commitment to clinical governance and audit principles.
- Clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service (subject to Rehabilitation of Offenders Act).
