Applications are invited for the post of a full-time consultant interventional radiologist at the Department of Radiology at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Main Duties of the Job

  • Reporting vascular imaging and performing interventional radiology, including vascular and non‑vascular work.
  • Participating in specialist NCIR on call.
  • Supporting MDTs and teaching.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for this position it is essential that you hold full GMC registration, FRCR or equivalent and are on the specialist register for clinical radiology.

Qualifications

  • Essential: FRCR or equivalent. Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via: CCT (Proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of the interview) CESR European Community Rights An appropriate higher FRCR qualification. Full GMC registration.
  • Desirable: MRCP/FRCS.

Aptitudes

  • Essential: Good communicator. Capable of working in a multi‑disciplinary team.
  • Desirable: Previous responsibility for service improvement.

Experience

  • Essential: Extensive Interventional Radiology experience, including vascular and non‑vascular work, documented by specialist training or experience at consultant level. Awareness of the role of research in clinical practice.
  • Desirable: Completed specialist fellowship. Further area of interest to complement current service.

Circumstances

  • Essential: Flexible outlook on working hours. Must live within a 15‑mile radius of the base Trust or within 30 minutes travelling time. Full Driving License.

Communications and Language Skills

  • Essential: Ability to communicate effectively with clinical colleagues, colleagues in pathology and support staff.
