Instructor/Ride Leader Position available from April-September 2026 (dates could be flexible) at St. Mary's Riding Centre, a busy BHS Approved trekking and riding school in the beautiful Isles of Scilly, Cornwall.
The position will include general yard duties to assist with the care and management of our 19 lovely horses who all live out. The main role would be coaching (private, lunge group and lead rein lessons) and escorting treks to the beach, sea and coast.
The applicant should be experienced and passionate about all aspects of teaching including stable management. The applicant must be cheerful, hardworking, and a good team player to join our small and friendly team working alongside Owner and Assistant Yard Manager and other staff members.
35+ hrs per week, variable during holiday periods. Good rates of pay and potential for training with our BHS Stage 5 Performance Manager. Excellent self-contained accommodation available for the right applicant.
- BHS Stage 2 Teach
- HSE First Aid at Work 3 Day or BHS Equine Specific First Aid and Safeguarding Certificates.
- Preferable: BHS Stage 3 Care and Lunge
Enhanced DBS checks will be carried out. Salary - Wage dependent on qualifications and experience but high standard accommodation provided at reduced rent.
