At British Gypsum, we are looking for a Production Shift Manager to inspire and lead an enthusiastic, motivated, and flexible team, ensuring we manufacture our products efficiently, safely, and at the highest quality for our customers. This Shift Manager role will be a part of the Production Team. You will be managing a team of operatives and will work collaboratively with the Engineering, Quality, and Leadership teams to meet our production targets.

Robertsbridge is a 24/7 operation. You will be working 12-hour shifts - two days, two nights (there are no nights on the weekends) then five days off on a 5-weekly rotation. In reward for your leadership talent and flexibility, we are paying a competitive salary plus a bonus and benefits including healthcare options.

What you will be doing:

  • Plan resource and record overtime hours and HR data onto our systems
  • You will be responsible for the Health and Safety on shift for your team members and the site
  • Manage the well-being, training, and competency development of your team members
  • Attend and contribute to the daily performance control meetings
  • Collaborate with the Engineering and Quality teams on maintenance, problem solving and improvements
