Saint-Gobain Interior Solutions is seeking an enthusiastic and practical individual to join our innovative team in East Leake as a Scientist in our UKAS-accredited fire test laboratory. This is a full-time, onsite role (5 days per week).

Your Role

As part of our laboratory team, you’ll play a key role in testing and developing solutions that improve safety in construction. This is not your typical desk job — it’s a practical, industrial role where you’ll be learning every day, working closely with colleagues, and rolling up your sleeves to get the job done.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Testing & Analysis: Contribute to fire testing activities, supporting with test preparation, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Hands-On Work: Get involved in setting up, running, and cleaning down after tests — from using lifting equipment to sweeping and shovelling, it’s a very practical role.
  • Safety First: Work with a strong focus on health and safety, ensuring both you and your team stay safe.
  • Collaboration: Support colleagues and undertake various duties as directed by your line manager or the wider team.
