The main purpose of the role is to implement the performance services systems and processes to ensure efficient delivery of the World Class Programme (WCP) across the British Gymnastics disciplines. This will involve the effective planning, delivery and monitoring of performance services.
Main Areas of Responsibility:
- Deliver Performance Services systems and processes
- Support the assessment of the Performance Service delivery for efficiency and effectiveness in relation to the Vision and Strategy of the World Class Programme.
- Work with the Performance Management Team to generate ideas and solutions for the improvement of processes to the service delivery model resulting in improved efficiency and effectiveness.
- Deliver Performances Services activities to improve the ‘customer’ service and experience.
- Process all expenditure relevant to the discipline/s; monitoring/reporting against budget on a monthly basis, where applicable attending budget and forecast meetings and liaising with the Performance Services Manager to report budget progress.
- Deliver the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for the Performance Services Team
- In conjunction with the Performance Services Team, develop a range of SOP’s to improve consistency and alignment and customer experience across all disciplines.
- Work with the Coaching teams and Sport Science and Medicine Team to embed the SOPs in a suitably aligned manner that supports the Performance Team Strategies for the LA Olympic Cycle.
- Regularly review and update SOPs to ensure they remain live and relevant.
- Support the Performance Services Department to ensure all staff members remain up to date with SOP training.
- Performance Services Database Implementation
- Work with the Performance Data Team to implement the Performance Services Database aligned to the needs of the Performance Disciplines.
- In conjunction with the Coaching Teams and Sports Science & Sports Medicine team, evaluate the ongoing revisions required to improve the functionality, user experience and efficiency of the Performance Services Database on a regular basis.
- Support the Performance Data Team with producing reports as part of tracking and benchmarking of progress against the overall strategy.
- Performance Services planning and delivery
- Work closely with the Head National Coach to co-ordinate the programme/calendar of events for designated discipline/s.
- Managing/monitoring the logistics, administration and financial expenditure for training camps, competitions and Internationals.
- Fulfilling official duties as required e.g. pastoral care at major/home competitions, training camps.
- Be the main point of contact for the technical committee, to provide assistance in relation to facilitate of the administration, finance and logistics processes, within the programme.
- Providing a first point of contact for the athletes/coaches/parents; answering/fielding/escalating technical queries where appropriate.
- Ensure Performance kit is managed aligned to squads and international events.

- Flexible to work evenings, weekends and travel as required.
- An enhanced DBS disclosure will be required in this role.
- Experience of working within a national governing body or high-performance sport environment would be desirable.
