Salary range £23,500 to £24,175 (dependent upon experience)

39 days annual leave (including Bank Holiday and Company days) + salary sacrifice pension scheme + 2 wellbeing days a year + weekly exercise and wellbeing hours

This is a dual based role working the British Gymnastics\’ Northern Ireland Team office (Holywood, Belfast) and from home with travel to Head Offices in Lilleshall National Sports Centre, nr Newport, Shropshire (a minimum of 4 times a year)

Gymnastics is an amazing sport that has the power to have a positive impact on people, communities, and our society, helping to build foundations for life for all those who take part. At the heart of that in the UK is the gymnastics community, made up of gymnasts, parents, coaches, clubs and other venues, officials and volunteers – together they form the fabric of a sport that is woven into local communities across the country. As the UK\’s national governing body for gymnastics, by working closely with our members who form this community, we aim to lead, support and inspire them to help build a bright future for our sport.

We are looking for an Administrator to join our Northern Ireland based team to provide administrative support to the team and also to Gymnastics Northern Ireland (GNI). As our administrator you will coordinate activities and support initiatives, facilitate effective communication channels and to maintain appropriate records and data.

The Role

The main responsibilities of the role are:

  • To provide effective administration support to the Northern Ireland team including supporting teams projects, events and initiatives e.g. festivals, conferences, award ceremonies and meetings, and supporting the Gymnastics Northern Ireland Board
  • Answering calls, enquiries, requests for information etc, and filtering and disseminating relevant information back to colleagues to keep them up-to-date with current activities
  • Maintaining databases and records, and where required, generating reports/providing information in relation to development activities
  • Supporting the administration of finances, processing expenditure, liaising with Finance colleagues, suppliers, contractors etc as required
  • Supporting meetings/training/event preparation and administration e.g. inviting attendees, minute taking, booking venues/facilities, organising travel and accommodation, preparing presentations/hand-outs, issuing joining instructions, collating feedback etc.
  • Procuring resources, consumables, merchandise, clothing etc, as required
  • Collating data, maintaining records/evaluation questionnaires and producing summary reports in accordance with development plans and KPIs

The Person

Applicants will need to demonstrate:

  • Be well organised and able to demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines
  • Have the capacity to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of all participation/ colleagues/activities/initiatives and BG policies/procedures in order to provide accurate and appropriate support to colleagues and clubs/members
  • Have a very good working knowledge of IT systems e.g. MS Office, along with competent typing and administration skills, and an understanding of financial processes
  • An ability to communicate and build effective relationships with a range of colleagues and external stakeholders using email, telephone, through the website and social media.
