We require a Yard Assistant to support the coaches with riding and horse care lessons as well as undertaking the usual variety of jobs required in a racing yard.

Job details

  • Full time, 5.5 days per week
  • Hours: 06:30–12:30 and 15:00–17:00, Monday to Friday; 1 weekend in 4 required.
  • Salary £27,500 per annum.
  • Pets allowed.
  • Location: Newmarket, Suffolk.

Responsibilities

  • Support the coaches with riding and horse care lessons.
  • Undertake the usual variety of jobs required in a racing yard.
  • Work with young people in a training environment; empathy, patience and strong work ethic essential.

Requirements

  • Preferred: a rider; if non‑rider, extensive horse care knowledge and experience required.
  • Strong work ethic, empathy and patience essential.
  • DBS check and references required.
