Long Term Maintenance Project Manager

Grade: UKRI Pay Band D/S2

Salary: £41,344 per annum

Full-time 37 hours a week (some flexible working options may be available, however, significant on-site presence is a requirement of this role)

Location: BGS headquarters in Keyworth in Nottingham

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a forward-thinking projects team within the British Geological Survey (BGS) Estates department.

As the Keyworth Long Term Maintenance Project Manager you will report directly to the Estates Project Manager and play a pivotal part in managing projects, collaborating with stakeholders, and driving initiatives that align with the organisation's sustainability and operational goals.

This position offers the chance to work on impactful projects within a supportive and values-driven environment, making a real difference in the management and development of BGSs estate.

Essential

  • Experience of project management in an Estates environment, or Buildings, Environment with Good Stakeholder Management (S&I)
  • Project Management qualifications, e.g. Agile APM, Prince 2 or equivalent qualification/experience (S)
  • Good Administration ability including a working knowledge of Mircosoft Office(S&I)
  • Ability to interpret, develop and alter simple technical drawings (S&I)
  • Ability to develop reports on project progress, project financial status and risk logs (S&I)
  • Experience of contract management including working to specifications in contracts, variation processes, governance processes (S&I)
  • You will be committed to a diverse and inclusive approach to work in the geosciences (S&I)

Desirable

  • Degree in either Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural, Environmental, or Sustainability, relevant apprenticeship or suitable experience (S&I)
  • Experience with condition surveys and building improvement\\refurbishment projects (S&I)
  • Experience of working within a research environment (S&I)
  • Experience of Contactor Management (S&I)
  • CAD experience (S&I)
