Responsibilities:
- Support the quarterly review of technical provisions.
- Help assess assumptions and ensure robust actuarial outputs.
- Assist in overseeing underwriting activities.
- Support the Chief Actuary in forming opinions on underwriting and reinsurance strategies.
- Contribute to broader risk management activities, including the ORSA process.
- Support stress testing and scenario analysis.
- Support PRA compliance, including horizon scanning and regulatory monitoring.
- Contribute to maintaining a strong governance and risk framework.
Qualifications:
- A part-qualified actuary, progressing well through IFoA exams.
- Experience within insurance (ideally GI), consultancy, or actuarial risk.
- Good understanding of Solvency II / Solvency UK.
- Curiosity and a desire to develop across multiple actuarial disciplines.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
- A proactive mindset and confidence to operate in a second-line oversight role.
