About your team: At British Gas, our mission is to sell it and mend it. We have been powering the UK’s homes and businesses for over 200 years - but supplying energy is just part of what we do. By using clever tech like thermostats, heat pumps, solar panels and EV chargers, we are making it cheaper and easier for our customers to reduce their carbon footprint.
About your role: We are looking for skilled Electricians to join our experienced Field Engineering team, ensuring our customers receive exceptional service exactly when they need it. Being there for our customers is our priority, and you will play a pivotal role in delivering our British Gas Service Promise of same-day fixes and installing electric vehicle charge points.
Base Salary: £41,389 with uncapped OTE - £51,389 is a realistic expectation through our comprehensive field reward scheme.
As a British Gas Electrician, you will use your expertise to deliver safe, high-quality electrical work in customers’ homes, from fault finding and installations to full rewires and EV charge point installations. You will need at least two years’ experience as a qualified electrician. EV installation experience is a bonus, but if you don’t have it yet, we will give you the training and qualifications to get there.
Your customer service excellence and problem-solving abilities will enable you to diagnose issues efficiently and work safely to ensure first-time fixes whilst promoting British Gas products and services through professional advice and expertise.
What we are looking for:
- City & Guilds 2365 Parts 1 & 2 (or equivalent), culminating in a Level 3 Technical Certificate including the National Electrotechnical Training (NET) AM2 certificate
- Demonstrable experience working in the electrical industry
- Current City & Guilds 2382 - B.S. 7671 IET Wiring Regulations certificate
- City and Guilds 2391.52 (or equivalent) would be highly desirable
- City & Guilds 2921/2919 EV charging is desirable
