As a Contact Sales Agent at British Gas, you will be the first point of contact for potential and existing customers. Your role is to understand customer needs, promote suitable services, and deliver an exceptional customer experience that drives sales and loyalty. This position involves working on multiple telephone-based campaigns, ranging from direct product sales (e.g., boilers/ASHP/Solar), specialised lead generation, customer retention, and educating customers on innovative Net Zero and energy-saving solutions.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses excellent communication skills, and is comfortable pivoting between different product lines and sales objectives.
Basic Salary: £28,393
Bonus: OTE is £1k per month based on KPI achievement.
WFH Opportunities: Work from home 4 days per week with every Wednesday in office (post training)
Department opening hours: 8am - 7pm Monday - Saturday. Working pattern is 1 Saturday in 4.

- Industry Interest (Desirable): A genuine interest in energy efficiency, home improvements, or sustainable technologies (Net Zero) is a strong advantage.
Key Accountabilities:
- Multi-Campaign Execution: Successfully manage calls and achieve targets across various campaigns, which may include:
- Direct Sales: Proactively selling high-value products like new boiler installations, ASHP, Air Con and Solar.
- Lead Generation: Identifying, qualifying, and scheduling appointments for field sales representatives.
- Customer Retention: Contacting existing customers to maintain sales, resolve issues, and upsell/cross-sell new services.
- Net Zero Products: Informing customers about grant-funded programs, heat pumps, smart thermostats, and other sustainability initiatives.
- Data Accuracy: Accurately log all call information, outcomes, and customer data into the CRM system following strict compliance and data protection guidelines.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to all company policies, regulatory requirements (e.g., FCA, GDPR), and campaign guidelines.
