About your team: At British Gas, our mission is to sell it and mend it. We're the household heroes powering 1 in 3 homes in the UK but supplying energy is just part of what we do. This role is based in Somerset. Kickstart Your Career as a Gas Engineer and help us achieve our purpose of a Greener, Fairer Future. Limited Spots Available for 2025 ALP Intake! ALP salary is £32,866, rising to £43,733 on successful completion of the course. London Weighting applied where applicable. Classroom training will be held at either our Dartford or Thatcham academies (Accommodation supplied where applicable).

What You'll Do:
- Comprehensive Training: The ALP is a two-year programme combining 40 weeks of classroom training at one of our award-winning academies, alongside hands-on field training to build real-world skills.
- Progressive Learning: Over time, you'll gradually take on more responsibility, gaining practical experience in the field while receiving full support every step of the way.
- Achieve Full Qualification: By the end of the programme, you'll be a fully qualified gas engineer with the knowledge and expertise to excel in your role.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualifications: You'll need current ACS accreditation (including CCN1, CENWAT or CEN1/WAT1, and CPA1).
- Passion and Motivation: If you're committed to learning and keen to develop your skills, we're looking for you!
- A Can-Do Attitude: You'll need the drive to face challenges head-on, embrace learning, and push yourself to succeed.
- Some Experience is a Plus: While experience isn't a requirement, 1 year of hands-on experience in the industry is ideal. But most importantly, we're looking for individuals with the right attitude, motivation, and determination to succeed.
- Driving: Full UK driving licence with 6 points or less is needed.
