By sending data in real time, they help customers see exactly how much energy they’re using in pounds and pence, giving them the confidence to make informed choices and save money.
As a Metering apprentice, you’ll learn far more than how to install and repair meters. You’ll build the skills to explain, reassure and support customers, making sure they understand how to get the very best from their energy use.
At our award-winning academies, you’ll be supported every step of the way, absorbing expert knowledge, developing hands-on skills and earning recognised qualifications. Working alongside experienced engineers who are there to coach and encourage you, you’ll soon be visiting homes in your local area, helping people feel comfortable with new technology and more in control of their energy.
Here’s what’s in it for you:
- Starting salary of £16,698 rising to £20,273 at week 28, £23,850 (typically) at week 35, £26,528 at week 52, & £34,176 (typically) at week 60 of your apprenticeship.
- Once you have completed the full programme and aftercare support (typically at week 76), your salary will increase to £40,133 with bonus and add-ons on top.
- We also offer London Weighting Allowance ranging from £4,160 to £6,240 (dependant on location) for living or starting your day within London.
