The Role
As a Restaurant Team Leader, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional dining experience. You willmotivate and support the team, lead by example, and ensure our high standards of customer service are consistently met. You will also take responsibility for maintaining food quality, safety, and hygiene standards across the restaurant.
This role includes a range of supervisory duties, such as supporting recruitment, training new team members, and creating staff rotas that meet the needs of a busy, fast‑paced environment. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional guest service and maintain high standards throughout all front‑and back‑of‑house operations
- Lead and motivate the team to ensure smooth service and a positive working environment
- Support stock control including stock taking, ordering, and monitoring usage
- Plan staff rotas to ensure efficient labour management and service coverage
- Deputise for the Restaurant Manager when required, taking responsibility for daily operations
- Uphold company policies and ensure they are clearly communicated and followed by the team
- Maintain hygiene and safety standards in line with Health & Safety and food safety regulations
About You
- Excellent customer service skills with confidence handling queries and complaints
- Front and back of house experience in a fast‑paced food environment
- Computer literate with working knowledge of Word and Excel
- Barista experience and confidence preparing a range of hot and cold drinks
- Strong problem‑solving abilities and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Knowledge of stock control and experience supporting stock‑related processes
- Commercial awareness with the ability to drive sales and manage labour costs effectively
- Food preparation experience and a solid understanding of food safety standards
- Proven leadership with experience supervising or managing a team
