Position: Restaurant Team Member

Location: Loxley

Contract Type: Temporary (3 Months)

Hours: Part Time – 8 Hours Per Week – Including Weekdays & Weekends

Overview: At British Garden Centres we aim to deliver a great experience in our centres and create an exceptional dining experience. We have a great opportunity for Restaurant Team Members to join our friendly restaurant and bring our food and restaurant to life for our guests to remember. Must be fully flexible; hours involve weekday and weekend work. May be required to use a computerized tilling system and will also involve usual jobs associated with working in a busy restaurant. Must be friendly & confident for this customer‑facing role. Be able to work on your own initiative & as part of a team, able to adapt to the demands & speed of the business at peak trading.

Skills required:

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work confidently as part of a team

  • Previous experience in a similar hospitality or customer‑facing role
  • Full flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekdays, weekends and bank holidays

Duties:

  • Carrying out all aspects of day‑to‑day restaurant operations
  • Serving customers in a warm, efficient, and professional manner
  • Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks, including barista‑style coffees
  • Clearing and cleaning tables to maintain a tidy dining area
  • General cleaning duties such as sweeping and mopping
  • Washing up and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and service areas
  • Operating the till and processing transactions accurately
  • Handling money responsibly and following company procedures
