Hours: 35 Hours Per Week – Including Weekdays & Weekends

We are looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our forward thinking team and support the smooth, efficient, and high quality running of our busy restaurant operation. This is a fast paced, high volume environment and we are seeking someone with proven supervisory or managerial experience, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to lead from the front. This is a hands on role that requires energy, organisation, and a passion for hospitality.

Role Requirements

  • Strong hospitality or restaurant management experience with a proven track record in a supervisory or managerial role
  • A confident communicator with excellent people management and motivational skills
  • Highly customer focused with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering an exceptional guest experience

  • Good understanding of Health & Safety and food hygiene standards
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel

Key Duties

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and support the restaurant team
  • Participate in recruitment and selection of team members
  • Schedule staff and assist with HR processes as required
  • Manage payroll and rota planning
  • Ensure the team delivers excellent customer service at all times

Operational Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations to maintain high standards of service and presentation
  • Manage cash handling and till operations
  • Act as a key holder, assisting with opening and closing procedures
  • Conduct operational audits to ensure compliance with company standards

Food, Menu & Stock Management

  • Support the development and planning of menus and daily/seasonal specials
  • Manage food costing, stock control, and inventory processes
  • Maintain high standards for food storage, rotation, quality, and presentation
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety and health regulations

Maintenance & Standards

  • Ensure the restaurant environment is clean, safe, and well maintained
  • Establish cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage areas, and workspaces
  • Uphold excellent visual and operational standards throughout the restaurant
