Hours: Part-time, 20 Hours Per Week – Including Weekends
We are looking for a skilled Chef/Cook to prepare delicious meals according to the menu. You will cook dishes that will delight our customers with their taste and timely delivery. An excellent Chef must be able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals. They must be deft in moving around the kitchen and apt in multi-tasking. Experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques is also important. Flexible with weekends and able to do overtime. The goal is to help preserve and enhance our reputation so we can expand our clientele. Skills needed:
- Prepare and cook menu items across the carvery, main kitchen line, and bakery.
- Produce daily specials and contribute creative ideas while following set specifications.
- Prepare, cook, and present food quickly, efficiently, and to consistently high standards.
- Manage multiple orders during busy service periods while maintaining accuracy and quality.
Stock & Delivery Management:
- Receive and check deliveries to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Maintain accurate pantry stock records and restock fridges, freezers, and dry stores as needed.
- Monitor portion sizes and minimise waste in line with company standards.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Chef and Cooks to ensure smooth service and timely meal preparation.
- Support the team by maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment.
Food Safety & Standards:
- Apply strong knowledge of HACCP and follow all food safety procedures.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness at all times.
Experience & Attributes:
- Experience working in a busy, fast-paced kitchen.
- Creative approach to dish development while confidently following recipes and specifications.
- Carvery experience is an advantage.
- Professional, reliable, and calm under pressure.
- Strong time-management skills.
- Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification is an advantage.
