Full Time 45 Hours Per Week –– Fully Flexible, Including Weekends.

British Garden Centres is a large UK retailer which is well known for its high-quality customer service, plants, and restaurants. As a growing family business, we are driven to have the best quality affordable restaurants.

We are looking for an overseer of regional managers who directs multiple regional managers to ensure consistent operational excellence, strategic alignment, and profitability across a large geographic area. Key duties include setting high-level targets, optimizing performance metrics, mentoring staff, and overseeing budget allocation to achieve company goals.

Skills Required

  • Strategic Leadership: Develops and implements regional strategies aligned with company goals, driving growth and ensuring consistency across all locations.
  • Performance Management: Evaluates Regional Managers (and their teams), analysing KPIs, financial reports, and operational metrics to maximize profitability.
  • Operational Oversight: Monitors daily operations, ensuring compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and legal requirements across all sites.
  • Talent Development: Recruits, trains, and mentors Regional Managers and senior staff to improve performance and career development.
  • Budget & Financial Control: Manages, reviews, and approves regional budgets, expense reports, and financial statements.
  • Communication & Reporting: Acts as the bridge between corporate leadership and regional teams, providing regular performance updates and reports.
  • Crisis Management: Resolves escalated customer service issues, employee grievances, or operational emergencies.

  • Commercially aware with full P&L accountability.
  • Be passionate about standards and the best possible guest experience.
  • Drive investment and projects across their regions
  • Be competent in all aspects of food and health and safety.
