Horticulture Manager

Full Time Hours Per week – Including Weekends

As a Plant Department Manager, you will manage, lead, inspire, and develop an amazing team, ensuring all customers have a great in-store experience.

Skills Required:

1. Horticulture expertise with proven experience in retail management.
2. Commercial awareness and understanding of budgets and profitability from driving retail sales and improved ways of working.
3. Ability to identify training needs and effectively coach and train all levels to ensure our teams deliver a first-class customer experience.
4. Adaptability to act quickly and enthusiastically to changing priorities, workload, and concepts.
5. Positivity in managing change, leading the team through each season with care and motivation to deliver the best.

Duties will include:

1. Overseeing the horticulture department operation, maximizing profitable sales and growth while creating a unique customer-focused environment.
2. Providing expert advice and guidance in relation to plant care and maintenance, core gardening products, and equipment.
3. Taking the lead in creating a great place to work for everyone on a day-to-day basis while thinking ahead to ensure your team has a development journey with us.
4. Sparking your team’s passion for delivering the best customer experience possible by creating a brilliant customer journey.
5. Working closely with our central support teams, maintaining top-notch communication, stock supply, and response.
6. Ensuring department compliance with health and safety regulations.
