Overview
Garden Centre Team Leader
Part Time 24 Hours Per Week β Including Weekends
As one of our Team Leaders, your role will include providing great customer service, along with supporting the Manager and mentoring our retail customer advisors, ensuring all our customers receive a positive experience once they set foot in the department. You will be working in our outdoor and indoor departments across the Centre, being involved with planning and building all our seasonal changes. Plant knowledge is preferable, forklift truck driving licence would be preferred; training can be given.
Responsibilities
- Maintain retail standards across all department areas.
- Customer service, including ordering and selling.
- Planning and executing all seasonal set ups.
- Organising team schedules and addressing staff issues.
- Evaluating employee performance and providing training and guidance as needed.
- Filling in for absent employees and assisting teams as needed to successfully complete projects.
- Ensuring that employees follow company policies as well as health and safety regulations.
- Ensuring a high and consistent standard of customer service.
- Assist the centre manager in the running of the centre, supporting in all areas of health and safety.
- Liaising with reps/buyers about product lines and orders.
