Full Time – 45- Hours Per Week Including Weekends

At British Garden Centres, we aim to deliver a great experience in our Centres and create an exceptional customer service experience.

We are looking for a Garden Centre Manager to join our forward-thinking team. This is a high-volume environment with a fast turnaround.

The successful candidate should have proven managerial experience and be physically fit as this is a hands-on role requiring some heavy lifting.

A highly motivated individual with a passion for exceptional retail standards, driving sales, and providing great customer service is essential.

Must have previous Garden Centre Management experience either at centre manager or deputy manager level.

Be able to motivate a team of managers and supervisors to work efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines.

Plant knowledge is preferable.

As a Garden Centre Manager, you will manage, lead, inspire, and develop an amazing team, ensuring all customers have a great in-store experience.

  • Horticulture experience is beneficial.

Duties will include:

  • Excel knowledge essential for managing rotas and budgeting.
  • Close attention to detail required to implement and manage all aspects of company policy and procedures such as EPOS, stock management, health & safety, security, and cash handling.
  • Keyholder duties.
  • Management duties.
  • Delivering all KPIs, costs, and budgeting.
  • Colleague development and succession planning.
  • Delivering colleague engagement and training.
  • Ordering and stock taking.
  • Excellent customer service.
