Overview
Cook (Part Time 25 Hours Per Week Including Weekends) — Temporary
Responsibilities
- Prepare delicious meals according to the menu and deliver well-prepared meals in a timely manner.
- Follow instructions in cooking; move around the kitchen deftly and multi-task effectively.
- Collaborate with the Chef and Cooks to prepare meals; monitor portion size and waste; maintain pantry stock records; restock pantry and fridge/freezer as necessary.
- Produce specials and assist with home baking as applicable.
Qualifications / Skills
- Experience of working in a busy kitchen.
- Creative at making dishes but able to work to specs.
- Experience of cooking carvery is an advantage.
- Knowledge of HACCP.
- Able to manage multiple orders; remain calm under pressure.
- Good time management.
- Level 2 basic food hygiene is an advantage.
- Professionalism and reliability.

Duties include
- The taking of deliveries.
- Food preparation.
- Producing specials.
- Prepare, cook, and present food quickly and efficiently to a high standard.
- Monitor portion size and waste.
- Collaborating with the Chef and Cooks to prepare meals.
- Maintaining a pantry stock record.
- Restocking the pantry and fridge or freezer as necessary.
