We are looking for a Garden Centre Manager to join our forward-thinking team. This is a high-volume environment with a fast turnaround. The successful candidate should have proven managerial experience and be physically fit as this is a very hands-on role and some heavy lifting may be required.

A highly motivated hands-on individual with a passion for exceptional retail standards, driving sales, and great customer service is essential. Must have previous Garden Centre Management experience either at centre manager or deputy manager level.

Responsibilities include:

  • Motivating a team of managers and supervisors to work efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Managing, leading, inspiring, and developing an amazing team to ensure all customers have a great in-store experience.
  • Excel knowledge essential for managing rotas and budgeting.
  • Close attention to detail required to implement and manage all aspects of company policy and procedures such as EPOS, stock management, health & safety, security, and cash handling.
  • Keyholder duties.
  • Management duties.
  • Delivering all KPIs, costs, and budgeting.
  • Colleague development and succession planning.
  • Delivering colleague engagement and training.
  • Ordering and stock taking.

  • Horticulture experience is beneficial.
